Microsoft tokens have replaced SafeNet tokens – sign up now

SafeNet tokens are being replaced by Microsoft tokens starting mid-June. Currently, a SafeNet token (MobilePASS app on your mobile device) is used for remote access to webmail and Citrix portals.

If you have a SafeNet token, look out for an email in the coming week from “VCH, PHC and PHSA New Tokens” in your Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) email. The email will ask to register a Microsoft token by July 17 and provide instructions on how to do so. Your SafeNet token will be discontinued after this date.

Registering your new token will take approximately five minutes. You can register now via online instructional guide.

The Service Desk will be available to support you, if you are having trouble.

More information about remote access is available on the IMITS InfoCentre.

Why the switch?

The new Microsoft token is more user-friendly! It doesn’t require the PIN+token key combination, just one-tap approval on your mobile device. Once comfortable with your Microsoft token, you can discontinue using your SafeNet token.
