Vaccines for those who are clinically extremely vulnerable

Q: Aside from general phases as listed on the B.C. government website, are there any other factors for vaccination that are being considered for eligibility (immunocompromised, etc)?

A: People at higher risk from COVID-19 due to existing medical conditions, such as various forms of cancer, transplant recipients and severe respiratory conditions, will be able to register for their COVID-19 vaccine beginning today, Monday, March 29, 2021. The CEV-based booking process will run parallel to the ongoing age-based booking schedule. More information on the CEV criterial list and processes for how these individuals may book an appointment for vaccination can be found here.

These questions were generated during the March 10, 2021 medical staff forum.

The AV recording of this and previous forums, as well as full transcripts and a running list of Q&A, are available on the Intranet site and Slack.
