HEMBC Alert: Heat Warning

HEMBC is sharing information regarding extreme weather, in addition to considerations for the impacts to the health authority.

A Heat Warning has been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada with forecasted temperatures meeting or exceeding the Provincial HARS criteria for the Southwest inland region AND/OR the Southwest region.

Two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31°C to 40°C inland and 25°C to 29°C near the water, and nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to be at 15°C to 20°C
