​Throughout Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) over 3,200 physicians provide exceptional care to patients, families, clients and residents every day.

On National Physicians' Day we recognize and celebrate physicians and medical residents for their incredible dedication and compassion to the health and well-being of their patients, peers and communities. 

Physicians take on many different roles within VCH and provide direct care and services in clinics, hospitals and acute facilities, long-term care homes and community centres throughout urban and rural communities. Physicians work in collaboration with other health-care professionals and support staff to care for everyone in need of care, through empathy, respect and a deep commitment to making a difference in people's lives. ​
