Preventing the spread of influenza to our patients, clients and residents is a responsibility shared by medical staff, staff, visitors and family members. Last season 87% of medical staff got the flu shot, the remaining members chose to wear a mask. All medical staff are encouraged to get a free flu shot before December 1, 2020, when the Health Care Worker Influenza Protection Policy comes into effect.
Visit influenza reporting website to self-report their immunization or mask status. This influenza self-reporting site is the single reporting tool regardless of your current worksite in the Province.
You will be required to self-report to the above email address or phone advising that you will wear a procedure mask when inpatient care areas. Masks will be available on the units.
Check out the map of special staff clinics at VCH sites.
Not able to attend a VCH site? Visit ImmunizeBC for a map of public clinics across British Columbia, including pharmacies.
