Influenza vaccination

​​​​​​​​Preventing the spread of influenza to our patients, clients and residents is a responsibility shared by medical staff, staff, visitors and family members. All medical staff are encouraged to get a free flu shot​​ prior to when the Health Care Worker Influenza Protection Policy comes into effect.​

UBC Postgraduate Res​idents, Medical staff (i​ncluding VCH e​​mployed physicians) & Fellows:​

Visit influenza reporting website​ to self-report their immunization or mask status. This influenza self-reporting site is the single reporting tool regardless of your current worksite in the Province.

​What if I don’t get vaccinated?

You will be required to self-report to the above email address or phone advising that you will wear a procedure mask when inpatient care areas. Masks will be available on the units.
