Welcome to the Resident Doctors Orientation Portal
This site is hosted by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and serves as the central hub for Occupational Health and Safety orientation for incoming resident doctors across British Columbia.
As outlined 2022–2029 RDBC Collective Agreement, all new and returning residents are expected to complete a safety-focused orientation to meet province-wide OHS requirements before starting their clinical rotations.
VCH coordinates elements of this provincial initiative in collaboration with UBC PGME, RDBC, and participating Health Authorities
This site is intended to provide general orientation information related to occupational health and safety. Requirements may vary by training site, role, or Health Authority. In the event of any discrepancy, residents should follow guidance from their training program, local site leadership, and applicable agreements.
